WHAT IS RESILIENCE?
- It’s having an objective that you want to attain, but you don’t achieve it the first or second or third or …. umpteenth time! But instead of giving up you stick with it, you forge on, you persevere! YOU DO NOT GIVE UP!
- Resilience is the habit of not giving up on an objective.YOU ARE RESILIENT!
- When you were a kid and fell off your bike, did you give up? NO!
- Why did you stick with it until you got it? Why did you persevere? Why were you resilient?
Your answers will give you insights to understand why you give up or don’t give up, and I’d recommend to also explore other times you persevered - e.g. learning to skate, sticking with a math problem, learning to play a musical instrument or get better at a sport or …HOW TO BE RESILIENT!
- Accept that failure, is required to build your resilient muscle. |
- Yeah, I know failure is not a word many people are comfortable with, but view it this way; a fail, is the feedback that tells you, ‘The way you tried ain’t working … It’s telling you to ‘Try another way.’WILL YOU STICK WITH IT LONG ENOUGH?
- Will you stick with it long enough to attain the objective you set, or will you let the setbacks decide for you?
